Poster Design Project Research

This poster is a good example of negative space. The plain background makes the typography stand out and draw the viewers attention.

The line in this image is very organic. This is evident in the flowing lines above the typography, this gives the viewer an insight to the type of music played at the concert.

The shapes created by the line are natural and soft. The texture created by the line gives off quite a soft vibe.

Overall i like the minimal effect that this poster design has.

This poster is a good example of contrast. The

 colour red contrasts with the white 

and black to drawn the viewers attention to the poster. The poster is based on a symmetrical design, this is evident because of the central logo and the position that the characters are placed around the outside. The lines in this image are very bold, fitting in with the overall theme of the poster. The shape is quite abstract and unpredictable because there is alot going on in the image. The background texture of the image gives off a rough effec

t, where as the straight lines on the gun give 

it a smooth texture.

I like ths image because of the collage idea which i could base my poster on too.

This poster is a good exaple of negative space. The central images combined contrast with the black background giving it the main focus of the image.

There are very natural shapes in this designs the central design is the posative shape and the black background the negative shape. The texture in this image seems quite metallic, hard, shiny in a way. This could be because of the highlig

hts in the colour. The colour in this image is very bright and vibrant in the middle of the imag

e, this is because the designer wanted the centre of the image to be the main focal point.

s also a good example of negative space. There is a main central image over a plain white background.

The line in this image is quite geometric, this is evident because of the straight lines, shapes and circles. Same goes with the shapes used in this design. Lots of circles, stars and triangles. 

There is a lot of positive and negative shape in this design also.

There is quite minimal texture used 

in this image. The texture used on the black and white characters is quite sketchy and grainy.

The colour used in this image is a triadic colour scheme over the top of black and white imagery.

This poster is a good example of contrast. The green and red contrasts with the back and white imagery in the design.

The line in this image in some parts is geometric (line around the edge) and other parts quite organic (the line on the person).

The shapes used in this design are quite simple and bold. The texture is minimal with simple little 

effects done with line to create texture.

This poster is a good example of negative space. The main imagery is made up purely of colour and typography with a slight gradient at the top of the image.

Texture is created in this image from the use of different fonts and the way they have been put together. 

The rainbow colour in this design works effectively because it makes my eye flow up and down the image.

This poster is a good example of contrast. All the colours, shapes and texture in this intricate design work together to create a design that pops out of the page.

The line in this image is geometric consisting of circles and straight lines. There are a lot of positive and negative shapes in this design for example the musical instruments in the foreground overlapping the shapes in the background.

Texture is one of the main elements to this design, it is evident in each component that makes up the image. For example over the main central imagery there is a bubble paint texture.
